The staff was friendly and helpful. It's cool to actually see the history of what I read back in school. It's one thing to read it and be bored with it, lol. It's another thing to see the history in person. We watched the movie 1st, then walked through the exhibits before walking around outside. To see the damage and carnage that was left behind in the movie was crazy. To learn that 1000 soldiers died per hour during the Civil War is crazy. To walk in soldier after soldier just to meet your demise is crazy. The visitor center was cool, and can't wait to check out more history in the surrounding areas and the rest of Fredericksburg!

This is one of the best visitors centers I have been to! The staff were so kind and knowledgeable, and there were three that I saw! They also had free printed photos that you could take as a souvenir which was so incredibly nice because I would have paid for something like that anyway. There was also a video playing in the back room and a free 30 minute parking lot. Furthermore, they had public restrooms! I 100% recommend you stop here if you’re visiting Fredericksburg and have no idea where to go - they will point you in the right direction! :)
