I am in need of a Letter of Administration and I have been calling the Register of Wills office now 5 days in a row and "NO ONE ANSWERS" Finally after three weeks of trying to reach someone at the Register of Wills office someone answered the phone, of course this person DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING, I asked for a Supervisor and after a 10 minute hold, a woman picked the phone up. I gave her the Estate Number and told her that I needed a Letter of Administration. She told me I had to write a letter to request that, I did and mailed it before the end of August. I called to check on my request starting 9/09/2022 and again NO ANSWER, it was not until 09/14/2022 that the receptionist picked up and stated that I needed additional information and that I needed to speak to someone else. Well there was no one available, so I left a message on 09/14/2022. Here today is 09/20/2022 and NO RESPONSE. If this is how Cereta Lee is running the Register of Wills office, please VOTE HER OUT

On Friday, September 2, I visited the office of the Register of Wills. I had an Excellent experience. The person who waited on my husband and I, was Ms. Carleen Chalmers. She was very pleasant, very helpful and extremely cordial to us. She maid sure that we were comfortable and that all of our questions were answered. We really appreciated her kindness because sometimes you can go to an office and not be treated well. This was NOT the case with Ms. Chalmers. I hope that all people who have to go to the Register of Wills' office have the great experience that we did, and I also hope that, Ms. Lee, the Register of Wills, lets Ms. Chalmers know that we appreciated her help. I have been to the Register of Will's office frequently. The clerks and auditors are proficient and helpful. The Honorable Cereta Lee, Register of Wills has done a great job with her staff!
