If you want to try, consider coming to Dungeon 101. It is an outreach night, so no membership is required, and there are number of stations where you can try different things. Some other events have demo stations as well. In all cases, demos tend to be short and designed to give someone a taste and give lots of folks a chance to try the thing being demo'd. So the answer to your question is "sort of".
