We are so thrilled with our new deck. The team @ Segelman Shaw completed the work professionally and in a timely manner. The deck meets all new code requirements for the spindles and gates. It’s been very hard to get updates from the office. I signed a contract with this business on Feb 9th. And from there, there have been a series of delays. Every time I’m in touch with them. They always say that they will keep me updated. Or that “your siding job is the next job.” But it’s a few days to May, I still don’t know when the job discussed will be scheduled yet. It leaves me just shocked reading these fiver star reviews. If the business can be upfront and say “it takes months for us to schedule you.” Then at least I can keep my neighbors updated “accurately.” Now the delay has been so long. My own family suspect that it will never be done. Every time I follow up, they say "we will keep you updated." What this means is that I patiently wait for 10 days. or even longer. 2 weeks. And I need to follow up myself to get another update. During the past 3 months of following up, I really don't recall if I ever got any proactive communications from this business. Besides "asking me to sign the contract" or getting me to pay the payments. I have a full time job, and I have lost count for the number of times I followed up through emails and text messages. I don't get why I'm paying thousands of dollars for this kind of treatment.
