Not very well maintained. It’s ok to check it out if you have time to.

Cool little half mile walk to the worn down railroad trestle pylons. Lots of informative signs about the flora, also lots of birds, saw egrets, roseate spoonbills, gulls, et al... If you're in Cedar Key, take a moment to experience some history... Bring a trash bag, help keep the area clean...

Cute town..kinda sleepy.. if you don't have a boat and don't fish make sure your hotel/motel/timeshare has a pool as there is no real beach. Great food all over downtown though!

The trail needs to be maintained better as it was a challenge getting through the trail. Signs of plants were faded out. A lot of trash was built up at the end of the trail. On the plus side my husband found a really nice shell at the end of the trail.

This is a nice trail with lots of local plants marked. Would be best to walk this in the spring or fall.
At such short notice it will be hard to find any camping anywhere..I suggest going to Reserve America.com and type in Florida for the search..it will give you a list of all the campgrounds and what is available..it's very hard to get in this time of year..between snowbirds and locals being able to get out and camp due to the heat of summer gone. Good luck and have fun..
