My vehicle broke down on Northcliffe and I was forced to push it off the street into O'Reilly's parking lot. It sat there over the weekend due to unforseen circumstances but I kept in contact with O'Reilly all weekend. I contacted AAA on Monday and walked 2 miles to meet the tow truck driver at O'Reilly's. I sat in the parking lot for 2.5 hours waiting for the tow to arrive. The tow finally arrived, only it was the wrong type of truck required. The driver explained that I needed a flat bed to pull the car as it was on a slant in the parking spot. He contacted dispatch and another request was created. I was informed that it would take a little time and they would contact me when it was on its way. I walked into O'Reilly to explain the situation to the manager, TJ. He informed me that it had to be removed that evening or they would have it towed at my expense as my car was in the way of the truck delivering parts. It was now 4:30 pm and I assured him that I would have the vehicle removed that evening. I was on foot and explained that I was just going to walk around until the tow arrived but it would be a little while. I walked over to Winn Dixie and shopped while I waited. I figured I would arrange to push the car to the next lot if it got too late. The tow truck arrived around 6 pm to an empty parking lot. I called Robert at O'Reilly to confirm. He said that TJ arranged a tow truck at 5 pm which was only 20 minutes after I left the premises. My phone number was left with them on Saturday and Sunday. I never thought that someone would be so cruel. I thought O'Reilly was a stand up company. I tried calling TJ after I learned he was responsible for towing my car and he was gone for the day. Robert advised me to call back in the morning. I left messages with Robert and Riley but TJ never called me back. I am forced to lose my car as I cannot afford $300+ cash pickup for a vehicle that is not running. I do Doordash for a living so this has impacted my finances severely. It was completely unprofessional on every level as I was in complete contact with them. Shame on you, TJ. And O'Reilly for poor management choices.
