I’m a big fan of this hidden gem. Awesome outdoor seating in an incredibly peaceful setting. Just off the beaten path, makes it even more attractive. Often with live music and always great service. But again, I don’t add to my favorites unless the food is good. And the food, well it’s good. Often simple creations, but always fresh and tasty. Have a craft brew, sit in the sun, or under a tree and listen to the motorcycles go by in the distance. Go see these guys. You’ll be glad you did!

Totally remodeled inside! They have just reopened for 2022. The inside space is wide open, there are two restrooms side by side now and the walls don’t have the funky vibe and bling. Guests order at the bar and sit where they like. It’s very clean looking, almost austere. We’ve been coming here since 2010 and it’s way different now. They have a new cook and some of our favorites are gone, sadly. (No more spicy burger, fried fish or sweet potato fries or wedges). But with the new ordering system, we got our food fast! My hubby said his hamburger was quite bland and smaller. However, my chicken fingers were very good-crisp batter and tasty. Had a side of rice and beans, which was just ok, not a lot of flavor. They still have a super outdoor space with covered and open seating on decks, with pretty pastoral views. Also an outdoor music stage, dance floor, volleyball sand court, disc golf and fire pit. They have great live music in warm weather. The parking lot is still small and fills up quickly on weekends. As always, there’s lots of room for kids to play and run outside. We noticed they now have a covered dumpster which should stop Big Jake the Bear from his famous raiding runs. We are hoping the food will improve back to 5 stars soon because we love this neighborhood place. Please support them and bring your kids and dogs.

Read the whole review. There have been changes: First visit: The Bacon Blue burger was phenomenal. Best burger I ever had. Appalachian Mountain Brewery "Roots" Cider was fantastic indeed. Then we went back: Went back later during Covid when things were relaxing a bit. Felt like the place was being run by the CDC - or a federal org. Staff appeared convinced that masks saved the world. Boy, you better have that mask on when you walked through their (outside) atmosphere or you would be addressed. The quality of the staff attitudes, food, atmosphere & drinks went down. Sadly, we're not excited about going back. Left a bad taste in our mouths after the last visit. Hopefully, things will get better.

I finally got to visit. Their hours are limited because thanks to government handouts they are having serious staffing issues. The staff worked as a team and made sure customers were taken care of. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was really good! Just a note, the beer menu and the chalkboard beer menu are different. I ordered a beer off the printed menu based on what was there and later saw the chalkboard menu with several beers I like better. 😕 Will be back and tipped the staff extra.

Yes the restaurant and patio are wheelchair accessible , be aware that the parking lot is gravel and there are no sidewalks
Look up black mountain or lake lure
Outside with no problem at all and inside as long as they're not loud and aggressive
Yes, they do
