Super 8 by Wyndham Black Mountain

Positive: This Super 8 location is fantastic, right off interstate 40 and 15 minutes from Asheville N.C. Negative: We have stayed at this location several times, and although it is not the nicest motel I never really had major problems with my stay until this time. The room had a strong cigarette smoke smell, smell of B.O. in the bathroom. The room was not clean.

This place was so amazing because of Phil at the front desk. Been coming here for 5 years now. Love love how the place has been updated. Loving the staff. Phil is so awesome he made our trip even better with his friendly nature and good personality. Literally can't give this place the stars it deserve. Thanks Phil for your amazing service.

Glam Monster

We started coming here years ago. Now we come every year. Love this hidden gem. The new ownership is so much better. The desk is super helpful and nice. It's a nice well priced place. We love it.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a group of ‘workers’ who use most of one side of the hotel. When we arrived, there were small stools on the upper level outside the rooms. A ‘worker’ was parked on a stool right outside our room working on finishing a six pack. The room next to us was obviously a ‘worker’ party with music… Thankfully, the party didn’t last all night and the hotel clerk told the guy in front of our room to move on… I didn’t feel safe outside. I’ll pay a few extra bucks next time for a better place.
