I was on the list for years and I was kicked off somehow. I just used the portal couple months back and reapplied. Now I suddenly cannot find the portal site, which is not in my email they sent me. Also I cannot find out what my place is in line.

🤔if you drive get yourself a van and convert it into a tiny house on wheels. Join a gym and take your shower there. Go into YouTube type in living in your van. Remember to insulate, insulate and insulate. Thank you 😊 for serving our country.
You can check where you are the list yourself. They do make an attempt to contact you but not very hard. I cant remember if they call or send a letter or email. You can go into the office and make sure your info is updated and see how far up you are on the list. It's a real hassle to get a voucher and be expected to find a place but it's worth the trouble once you learn the system. You can thier main number and they're pretty easy to talk to now.
Yes
They take all your information and then they send you a letter telling you that they have no funding. Then you wait again!
Good Evening Clara! I'm just a customer giving reviews. I don't work at the Housing office but definitely go into the housing office and see if they can be of any assistance to this Family. Thank you for your question.
Good Evening Ciara! I don't work there, so I'm not sure but go into the housing office and make sure all of your information is updated including your current address. 9 years they maybe getting ready to contact you.
Are you going to call me so I can come get the house or you going to mail me a letter
Hello! We now have online system at www.HCAAC.com where you can set up a login account and access his information by linking it to his social security number. If this does not produce satisfactory results, please call 410-222-6205. Thank you!
Hi Luisa! The fastest way to apply is to go to our website - WWW.HCAAC.COM. There is an application portal - set up a new account and apply for the programs and communities that interest you. You can visit our Resource Center at 7483 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd during the hours it is open. Should you have any additional questions, please call 410-222-6205. Thank you.
Hi Shirley! We have a Mainstream Voucher Housing Program that is specifically for persons with disabilities. You may also apply for the Housing Choice Voucher program, but that is not specifically designated for disabled persons. We also have several properties that are designated available for a person with disabilities: Heritage Overlook Pinewood Village Pinewood East Glen Square Stoney Hill Depending on your age (62 and over), you may qualify for these communities: Thomas H. Pumphrey House Heritage Crest You may apply for housing at these communities, which are open to any and all interested in residing there: Meade Village Freetown Village Oakleaf Villas Doll Apartments If you visit our website at www.hcaac.com - you will see a link to apply for housing programs. Please be advised that our waiting lists are quite long.
The voucher program is designed to enable you to pay approximately 30% of your monthly income towards rent and utilities. That would be your portion of the rent. There are standards for how much an owner can charge for a one bedroom apartment based upon the program. Depending on the Zip Code, the 2022 standards fall between $1,010 per month up to $1,680 per month. The Zip Code determines the maximum allowable. Please consult with your specialist once you have located an apartment.

Thank you all for commenting, requesting information and discussing our affordable housing programs. We are happy to share some information that is pertinent. First, we are constantly overwhelmed with the enormous number of citizens who are seeking help with affordable rental units and subsidies. Our waiting lists are quite large and the wait times can be anywhere from 2-10 years, depending on the program, bedroom size needed and area of the county that one wants to live within. Why? The resources are limited in our county, very limited. There is far greater demand for units and rental assistance then there are communities and vouchers. Anne Arundel County is very difficult to build new affordable housing communities; it is very expensive land and it is already very heavily developed. Our agency has worked very hard to add 60 new units in the past 2 years, and we are hoping to add more soon. But sadly, it won't be enough soon enough.
There is a Contact Us tab on our website HCAAC.com for general inquiries along with information for contacting specific departments. (https://hcaac.com/wp1/contacts-4/)
