I took the HQL and Maryland Carry classes with my husband at the end of August. The 2 day class had greet information and what I felt were very caring personnel. I personally like that it is woman-owned and operated. Donna and Nikki (sp) are both straight forward and expect you to take the classes and information seriously. I appreciated that. I have returned to do “shoot, don’t shoot” scenarios with Nikki. I want to be very prepared and responsible if I am going to own and carry a firearm. From what I have seen, their prices for their firearms are on par with other distributors (I’ve read otherwise and I’m not seeing it). I’ve interacted with a majority of their staff so far and have always been greeted and had my questions answered. They are extremely busy with the new law change, but still prioritize customer service. I feel comfortable going in to their shop and not being talked down to for not being an expert (yet).

Stay away from them they will scam you with your purchase, I was entirely dissatisfied with their customer service and wrongly charging extra, I will also be making a formal complaint to Maryland state police department to look into their practices if they are entirely legal, Also will be checking with Glock on their pricing practices, First time buyer or seasoned veteran I recommend Tyler Firearm LLC not too far from them and much better experience, Be safe

Took the HQL class here in 2017. The class is taught by people who know a lot about what they are talking about, very professional people. Safety is truly their number 1 concern, and the instructors are very firm about this. I usually dont get time to do reviews, so it should tell u how good they are that i decided to take time and give u guys the heads up. I highly rexcomend for HQL class in md.

$100.00 for the 4 hour class at Worth a Shot. Then you send $49.00 to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification. Worth a Shot has more info on their website or stop in and see them.
$175 and you get $25 off your first handgun purchase!
Thank you for your question. Face masks are required in our store. Our class size is limited and our students are spaced out accordingly. We sanitize the counters, computers and pens frequently and provide sanitizer to our guests as well.
Doubt it. If the felony is on your record(not expunged) you wont get it.
You need to have the other gun shop call Worth-a-shot. They will not give you there FFL#
Yes I think they do. They have a selection of used guns
Yes, they had a "Glock Day" sale. They had a Glock rep on site and were offering discounts on Glocks and all other firearms in the store. All accessories were 25% off, and Glock night sights were 50%off installed. They also gave away a free range bag with purchase of any Glock. It was a lot of fun, great service, and I look forward to the event next year!
The classes are usually on Saturdays and you must register in advance, no walk-ins. If you would like to attend, simply stop in or give the store a call and tell them you would like to schedule for your HQL. They will give you the dates of upcoming classes they offer, and no payment is due at time of registration. Currently, they charge $179.95, which is due on the day of your class. This includes the MSP fee of $50 and fingerprinting which they do on site. After your finished with the class, they give you a discount on your first handgun purchase from them. Great store, great service, you'll be in and out with everything you need. Highly recommended. Good luck!
No. This is a gun store not a shooting range.
