Hello, Visiting Cape Coral and went to Shell Factory Nature Park. They have rescue birds that are incredibe. The Nature Park has such great animals and potential. I talked with the caretaker. The Southwest Florida Scout Shop is a national scout shop that operates during different hours than the council offices. You can find the most up todate hours by Googling Southwest Florida Scout Shop or by looking them up on Facebook.
But if you wanted your child to start sooner they can start the Cub Scouts at 5 yrs old. Basically Boy Scout in training. You can go on swflcouncilbsa.org and you will find all the info you need
If people just did a little research, they'd find out that Scouting is coed around the world. I learned this in my advanced BSA Leadership training. Also, it would alleviate many problems facing both BSA & GSA councils to combine properties (camps, etc.) and finances. We need to look at the whole picture; Scouting is a wonderful program for youth. -
