Beautiful park designed by John T. Withers, nationally renowned landscape architect, around the turn of the century inspired by the "City Beautiful" movement. The park includes an historical marker for the Morris Canal Historic District. The Morris Canal ran close to here for almost a century until being abandoned in 1924. Also note the cannon in the park to commemorate the victory of Admiral Dewey at Manila Bay. And the bust of George Washington. Nice views of the Manhattan skyline somewhat obscured by foliage.

The park is hidden and is at a great location. It just needs more marketing and signs to promote its location.

Nice hidden gem in JC. Tennis, basketball and play area with a small water park for the children. Parking and near the light rail. Well maintained.
