Although I made an appointment, filled out papers online and arrived 10 mins early … I had to wait in same line as those with no appointment. I waited 45 mins to get blood drawn as I watched those with no appT go in before me. Once I GINALLY got in the phlebotomist was excellent

I needed to get a disc and the report from an MRI I had at this facility for my orthopedic surgeon who is not part of the AdventHealth system. I first tried online to see where I could request it but found nothing. Then, the 2-3 different phone numbers I found for Medical Records led me to dead ends or unmanned phones. I called the main desk at the hospital and was transferred to Medical Records where I was told by a male staff that they do not do records requests "because too many people ask for them but never show up to pick them up." I was told I would have to come in person and wait in line to be served to make the request, then wait 25-45 minutes for them to complete the request. So, I drove to the hospital and was directed promptly to Medical Records. There I found out I could have made the request online -- but there was no where online to make the request when I looked. First, the staff there had some trouble finding my MRI record from just the previous week. After about 10+ minutes, she found it. I filled out forms and she told me she could only give me the report. I needed to go to the imaging center for the disc! She said she notified them that I would be coming to get the disc of the MRI. I drove around to the imaging center where I was told that they could not find my MRI and asked if I actually had it there. After explaining for the umpteenth time that I did have it at the main hospital on September 14th, they finally found it. I even offered to pull it up via my AdventHealth app to show them. After about 10+ minutes I finally had the disc. This was a huge waste of time and resources! Not only was the first person I spoke with in Medical Records abrupt, bordering on rude, but he did not know that records could be requested -- or he just did not want to take the time to fill the request. Then the hospital could not find that I had indeed had an MRI there. All together, this entire process took over an hour and was very frustrating -- and concerning. It did make me feel much less confident that I could get the care I needed if I were a patient at the hospital. Perhaps a little education for the staff on handling these things would help. My family member didn't have a good experience in that ER or on the floor when she was admitted.
No. Adventhealth Winter Garden is just a free standing Emergency Room. They will have a full hospital in a couple of years.

to the best of my knowledge from friends who work for this Hospital group, the current decision is no but I believe that will change within the next 5 years because of how the area is growing
