During a recent visit to JREC I told to wear a mask or be turned away. This is after the Governor Ron DeSantis banned all mask mandates in the states of Florida and Mayor, Lenny Curry, lifted the City mask mandate. When I challenged the the legality of a government agency to try and enforce any kind of mask policy after the state and city mandate was lifted, three officers surrounded me and a Detective blatantly lied, saying "Jacksonville Sheriffs Office is a private business". The Sheriff is an elected position. JSO does not exist to turn a profit. It is not an enterprise or a corporation. They are public servants yet they are acting like the 3rd Reich.
