I am a traveling nurse with limited time off, I ended up being on hold for 3 hours! A polite woman did however double check to see if I could just come in for my wellness check and pap. At first she stated I had to come in Tuesday to be established then come Wednesday for well and pap. I told her forget it - she quickly replied hang on one moment. Which turned into half an hour at the end of the half hour she came back and said yes come in Tuesday at 10:20 and we can do both for you my remark was I don’t need your new patient establishment because I will be gone in four weeks I just need the Pap smear and the wellness check she put me on hold again and came back again in another half hour. She assured me that yes now they can just do the Pap smear and the wellness check which by the way I’m covered 100%. So I arrived this morning and the girl behind the desk with broken English tells me no we never do that I told her I’d how many times I verified can you check the car and then some other woman came out and said no it has never been done at this office I had read on the reviews that their office staff needed to be replaced and don’t know what they’re doing and how they don’t get calls back after seeing the outside of this building and seeing the inside that look worse than any free clinic that I have worked at suggest everybody run even if you have to go to D land or Davenport wherever I would never ever enter this building again I wonder about their cleanliness to boot they don’t even know what they’re talking about if you have something serious definitely don’t go here

If I could have given them a negative 10 on here I would have! These people are completely incompetent! They don't care what you're dealing with. I have congestive heart failure... serious trouble breathing... extreme edema and they've done nothing for me. They told me I needed to see a dr stat and it's been 3 weeks since I had an appt and asked for 2 referrals. She likes to refer me to orange city when I live in Daytona Beach when there are many drs here in town. She KNOWS that I can't drive in my condition but she obviously doesn't care. Don't ever expect to call this place and get any answers because they rarely answer the phone and you can never call and talk to a nurse or dr. All they do is refer you to someone else... she doesn't ever even examine me. She diagnosed me with bronchitis because she heard me cough. Never looked in my throat or felt my glands of listened to my Chest! Do yourself a big favor and go somewhere else!! These people are completely incompetent!!

Hi, yes we accept all Medicaid insurances (Magellan, Wellcare, etc), and we're always accepting new patients. You'll need to call the customer service number on the back of your card so they can assign you to Family Health Source, as your primary care doctor.

They have a sliding scale depending on income ETC. I would call if possible first. However, I've been told recently by my physician asst. That walk ins are ok...
Hey Dee, I am new to this area, and I had Medicaid in California, but here they don't seem like they are going to give it to me. I have lupus and no income at this time. They were even supposed to call me yesterday and they did not. So I don't know what the heck is going on, but how do people get healthcare here?! I don't want my lupus to go bad and me go in the hospital and be liable for the bill! Help!
Hello Ms. Tores, our clinic accepts many health insurances as well as Medicaid / Medicare. We have a discount scale for people with no or low income, it is based on need. You can pay as little as $ 25 to see the doctor. We also have a laboratory and prescription discount for those in need. For those without transportation, we have help too. Hello, unfortunately not. The WVHA Health Card only works in Westside the Volusia County.
