Visiting Natural Bridge & was looking for a good place for dinner. North Star was a great experience! Nice folks, delicious & plenty food, and price was very reasonable! Everyone was so nice & welcoming. We liked it so much, we're going back for breakfast!!

Driving through Virginia one morning, I asked a local gas station where I could get a good breakfast. They suggested North Star. It was easy to find, and not far from I-81. The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. It was full of people meeting up with each other. There were several signs posted on the walls. This one caught my eye. I ordered the most expensive breakfast on the menu -- two eggs and fried bologna. The bologna was larger than I expected. It was a great experience!

Great no fuss Diner, cash only, and won't take your self lovin attitude. If you have any qualms about a country Diner stay away, if you have good manners and enjoy the quirks of a country Diner would highly recommend. Great serving sizes, eggs done perfectly, fantastic huge western omelet, great biscuits and gravy, love the grits and the coffee as well.

We've been driving I 81 for five years now and sorry we didn't find this hidden gem sooner. What an awesome local place! We stopped for lunch and they were busy, but we did get a table immediately and service was great: friendly and attentive. The food was really good, hubby had the fried chicken livers and said there wasn't a tough one in the bunch, and the serving was a plate full! lol. I had the best hamburger I've had in quite awhile. But the topper was the blackberry cobbler with ice cream, of course! Oh my, it was awesome! Prices are very reasonable. FYI it is cash only, however there is an ATM. A return visit will definitely be in order next trip through the area.👍👍👍
