This is a comment from a patient of more than 2 years now. I have a depression, panic attacks and anxiety, those had been triggered by my actual situation. And I reached out to make a appointment two times when I had a crisis, I just wanted to see the doctor I just wanted to get help from someone that I thought is supposed to care about their patients. I call the office and explain them what my situation was and they didn’t wanted to schedule a appointment for me because in the past I miss one appointment and in order to see the doctor again I had to pay $35 which I don’t have at this moment and I explain it to them but their so cruel I came to realize that a doctor that supposedly care about mental health Doesn’t Care at all about more than the money. So sad and frustrating.

Dr. Vangala is either in bed with the pharmaceutical companies or he simply chooses not to stay abreast of the latest research for treatment resistant depression. My sister took my nearly suicidal 16 year old nephew to see him after doing extensive research (aided by a physician) into ketamine therapy. My nephew was open to trying ketamine in a professional environment given his severe depression that was not responding to medication. In front of a minor, Dr. Vangala told my sister ketamine was a terrible choice & that all she would be doing would be introducing him to an addictive drug. This is fundamentally untrue based on numerous clinical studies resulting in FDA approval. However, Dr. V. had zero issue prescribing my nephew a pharmaceutical with a black box warning. He should be ashamed of himself for stealing hope from a young man and his mother. His behavior was unprofessional and cruel. Dr. Vangala needs to retire or find ways to treat his patients with new, innovative approaches.

Rating is based on the doctor himself... Dr. Vangala has basically saved my life! I was in a really bad place at one point 4 years ago, and the doctor worked hard trying to find the right combination that works. Haven't been close since! He also noticed dementia early on with my dad, and thanks to his treatment, going on approx 14 years, dad is still with me at home! Regardless of what the reviews may say, as long as you are willing to give him and the process a chance, Dr. Vangala WILL help you! He really does care about his patients!
