What a wonderful hotel, very accommodating some of the most friendly people I think I’ve ever met. Me and my husband went there on vacation we were only gonna stay two days then go to Virginia but there is so much to see there and it was just an amazing place to visit we actually stayed our whole trip in West Virginia. Whitewater rafting, zip lining, Beckley mind, Lost World caves and Kayaking were amazing and the tour guys were awesome. Everything was located conveniently right where our hotel was which saved a lot of time. The breakfast was phenomenal I’m never going to a hotel where breakfast continental breakfast was served with biscuits and gravy which were really really good bad danishes, cereal, sausage and eggs and much much more. Definitely worth the 5 star I gave it.

We were in the area to see the New River Gorge. We had our dogs with us. They were polite at check in and explained the pet rules. The rooms were nice and exactly what you would expect: Beds, bathroom, sink, small coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, TV, AC, and table w two chairs. Ice and vending machines located in reasonable distances from the rooms. The gift shop/breakfast area was stocked with a decent selection of items pertaining to the area. They were visible, but out of the way of the seating and serving area. And the breakfast was the full variety with fruit, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee, waffle maker, biscuits, eggs, sausage, and gravy. The staff were friendly and polite. It was near the gorge, comfortable place to sleep, and a nice breakfast to start the day.

We recently stayed here. We had to pay to upgrade to a ground level room. The room had paint falling off the ceiling and Black Mold around the shower pan. We were moved after we complained and the next room was ok. I stayed here because the reviews looked good. Honestly it is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was also very poor. The manager on the front desk was very nice but the building is in great need of repair. The new bathroom we stayed in had a loose toilet that ran on. The workmen ship in the bathroom was terrible. We paid a lot of money for what we got.

Positive:  the front desk was cheerful and welcoming (same on checkout!). I expected much less based on a few reviews I read. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. Had fridge/microwave which I haven't been finding in much higher end hotels. Negative: If I had to think of something not as great? The bathoom was alittle small which was find since the sink was outside the toilet/shower area.
