I am a new patient to the office of Dr. Douglas Maready, Maready Medical, and appreciate the considerate placement of complimentary masks that are available at the reception desk for all patients and visitors. The staff and medical personnel are all wearing masks and a courtesy reminder is posted on the door regarding the wearing of masks in the clinic. It is preposterous to take exception to this important safeguard that is an important protective measure for all. It is unfortunate, that there is a resurgence of the virus that has plagued the world population for so long. CDC and Arizona Department of Health have provided prevention guidelines for the public to follow. We all have a role in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and compliance with those guidelines is critical to the protection of self and others. Wearing a mask is one thing you can do to keep your family, co-workers, and community safe, along with yourself. Dr. Maready is a vigilant medical provider in that he extends medical knowledge to professional responsibility, scientific expertise, and ethical training to work for better public health. Health officials state that residents of most Arizona counties should wear face masks indoors, new CDC guidance says. Residents in nine of Arizona's 15 counties, including Maricopa County, should be wearing face masks in indoor public places because of COVID-19 levels, updated federal guidance says. Dr. Maready is a brilliant clinician and will implement a thoughtful and effective care plan, with vigilant oversight, lab work, and necessary referrals to advance the best patient care possible to effect optimal results. The office visits are never rushed, detailed, and professional with meticulous documentation by a medical scribe and necessary referrals, prescriptions and other recommendations advanced expeditiously. Dr. Maready is guardian not only for the individual patient but also a safeguard for the community at large by ensuring compliance with recommended guidelines during a resurgence of a terrible virus. For some ridiculous reason they reinstated a mask policy. The staff doesn't like it and called it asinine, but nothing they could do about it since it wasn't their decision. Some of them were just having them hanging by one ear, so they're not even doing it. It's complete theatre at this point and they need to stop this nonsense. It's a shame because I like the staff and doctors but masks completely turned me off to going there and I will find a new doctor at this point.
