While the 8 year old YouTube video on their site makes this look quite nice, its actually very run down campground. If you need a cheap, 1 night stay...you'll be fine but otherwise I'd suggest another campground. We had 2 RV sites. Grass was not mowed until Wed (Sat arrival) and was very tall. It's not a large place and was not full, mowing really should have happened on sites with arrivals before we got there. No weed whacker was used (on mowing day) so the area around the cement pad remained very high. Our friends spot was mostly sand and had tall weeds around their camp spot the entire time. Plus no picnic tables were moved that we noticed when mowing was done. Pieces of garbage and trash left by previous campers was never picked up either. The bathrooms were relatively clean but again quite run down. The pool appeared to have a lot of dirt at the bottom but we discovered it was just chipped paint. When an employee told us it was filled recently, it was disappointing that the chipped paint wouldn't have been fixed prior to filling. Around the pool was a mess along with the pool bathroom that was absolutely disgusting. We witnessed 2 people sit and break chairs as they were so worn...and these were not heavy people. The broken chairs were not removed the entire week we were there...they actually were just put on the outside of the pool fence. Part of the staff were very helpful and friendly and then others were NOT. There are some workers (?) that live in the campground and their campground looks terrible! It's not well maintained, stuff all over the place and basically gives a "don't care" vibe. Which is really the vibe of the whole campground. We met 2 families who told us pre-Covid they came here every year but told us its gone way down hill and they would not be returning...I think that says a lot. Strongly suggest you find another campground until improvements are made....it does have potential.

Owners are awesome and so helpful! This is our second year coming here. It's fast become our home away from home.

No issues EXCEPT it may be in poor taste to hang animal carcasses from the swing set. I mean forget that my kid certainly can’t use that now, but a toddler most certainly doesn’t need to see this sight. Shocking to say the least. Otherwise, …It is deer season in Northern Michigan. Your kids can use either of the other 2 swing sets. It might be a good time to explain to you toddler where meat comes from.. The folks hanging their deer there have been coming to hunt near here for more than 20 years. Of course the water is turned off for most sites unless you make long tern araingments as several have done this year. We do have places where you can fill your tank.
