We just purchased a new spa and I wanted to have the water checked before the spa was delivered so we would be prepared. We wanted to go bromine as opposed to chlorine and purchased a kit plus extra bromine at the suggestion of the salesperson. The spa was delivered, filled, using an inline filter as we have well water, and we began adding chemicals as the alkalinity was off the charts. By the beginning of the week we still had major issues and I went back with another sample. The man checking the water asked for help from, I believe, the owner. We have a Cal Spa that is 7 x 7 and is a 5 person spa. She insisted that the spa holds 1100 gallons and I said the specs were in the 450 gallon range. She kept saying I was wrong and did a printout which I have that was calling for a huge amount of chemicals including 1.6 quarts of PH Down. She did not have that in stock but sold me other products that she insisted I needed. Being new to spa ownership I did purchase these. Then I got home and am thankful that I found out she was off the charts with the water and numbers as the specs do show a 7 x 7 spa at about 39 inches with 425 gallon capacity. I do not understand how the supposedly knowledgeable owner of the business could be that far off on what is needed, unless perhaps she was trying to sell additional product. She also provided no input on an order for putting the chemicals in which I am now finding should in fact be done in an order. I strongly suggest that if anyone wants to take a chance on shopping in this place that they know what they need and want but find it sad that Pinch A Penny would allow a franchise store be run by such apparent incompetence. I am keeping the printout she provided as a reference to support my claims.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD POOL SERVICE WITH THEM AND THEY LOST MY POOL VACCUM CLEANER AFTER THEY BROUGHT IT TO THEIR SHOP BECAUSE IT NEEDED ONE SMALL PART. AFTER A MONTH OF THEM TELLING ME THEY WERE WORKING ON IT, I FINALLY WENT INTO THE STORE AND ASKED WHERE MY POOL VACCUM CLEANER WAS. THEY FIRST TRIED TO GIVE ME A DIFFERENT ONE (VERY OLD AND BROKEN) AND PLAY IT OFF LIKE IT WAS MINE. AFTER THEY REALIZED THEY WERENT GOING TO TRICK ME INTO ACCEPTING A DIFFERENT, BROKEN VACUUM, THEY TOLD (THEY ACTUALLY YELLED AT ME TO TRY AND INTIMIDATE ME LOL) ME TOUGH LUCK. SO NOW IM OUT $400-$500 OF A POOL VACUUM CLEANER. HORRENDOUS.

Very rude Impatient was asking what I was supposed to have for my filter and went down hill from there I am hard of hearing and use hearing aids and that seemed to make the owner/manager even more unpleasant to deal with ..will never go back ( this is the second time )
