I had an excellent experience with CHS getting licensed as a foster parent. I had a very unusual circumstance and they helped me navigate and worked with me to get it done. Everyone was kind, and patient which was impressive because I know their workloads are large. I’d recommend them to anyone looking to foster or adopt in NC.

We had a terrible experience with this organization. Our first interview was virtual and the social worker was super unfriendly. She kept her camera turned off for nearly the entire time. We sat there, uncomfortable, talking to a picture, to someone who acted genuinely uninterested in being there. We later found out that she lied about most of our answers. She noted things that are verifiably false. She twisted our words into things that are simply untrue. The supervisor wasn’t much better. She said some extremely rude and hurtful things and didn’t care that her social worker lied. We felt pre-judged during the whole process. I HIGHLY recommend seeking foster care/adoption elsewhere. RUN!

Anybody looking to adopt and / or foster a child should definitely check CHS out. Me and my wife are currently in the process for adoption / fostering a child. We have had nothing but a excellent experience thus far. Every step of the way they have been helpful and giving us the proper information and keeping things 100% transparent and with us.

That would be great! We are open between 8:30am - 5pm, Mon-Fri. Thanks again!
Great question. Depending on his case it may be possible. The best thing to do is contact us privately at chsnc.org/contact, provide details, and we will try to assist as much as possible.
Thank you for your question and in these situations an answer is not always the same as it depends on the individual situation. If there is a need for a foster care placement of a child due to abuse, neglect or dependency you would need to contact your local Department of Social Services for additional guidance.
If you call the Greensboro Office they will transfer you to the Raleigh Office. Are you trying to get in touch with a particular person
