A little gem hidden in the corner of G St and 20th St. It is a small cozy, nostalgic diner with a comfy ambiance. Seating is limited due to counter top inside and a few tables outside. Went for breakfast and it was delicious! Had the chili verde omelet with potatoes. Food was a good amount of serving. Very good size chunks of meat. Sauce was very tasty and flavorful. The potatoes were cooked with a crisp and drizzled with cheese (BOMB!). The service and jokes was excellent! Highly recommend this spot if you are looking for different breakfast/ lunch spots. **Grab a slice or a whole "RUDY" pie!!! You won't regret it!!!**

Definitely Recommend! :) Sadly we didn't get to eat inside this time, due to our time constraints, everything about this place felt welcoming, the service was amazing. This sweet lady took my order and even recommended the Jack's Potatoes, which were amazing and enough for two. After placing my order, another sweet lady came and had a very pleasant conversation with me. When I picked up our food about 10 minutes later, we were so delighted by what we received. A sausage egg and cheese potato burrito, which tasted amazing, and made me feel like a kid at Nanas house, my husband's burger, he said was so thick and juicy, and tasted so good, both meals were gone so fast. We are going back on our next trip to Bakersfield, do yourself a favor and head over to this awesome restaurant 😀 We do have one regret, not taking pictures of the amazing food and the beautiful decor.

No real covid safety practices. You wear a mask walking in and then you take it off to eat at the counter. No 6foot social distancing. They do have a limited amount of outdoor seating and to go orders as well.
Yes, guess that's why they've been open for so long!
The owners are old fashioned. They do not use debit cards because the banks charge them for the POS system. Some credit cards charge per transaction. They had at one time debit card access but they had repeated credit card fraud. It's really a small mom and pop business. The owners treat their customers like family, if you act in a polite and respectable fashion they will treat you the same. POS point of sale system.
