Reader- I promise you this review will save you a headache, read through it, trust it, don't make the same mistake as me. Consolidated Communications is an absolute train wreck, I strongly suggest you do NOT get your internet service from them. Here is why ... 1) They can't provide you the bandwidth they promise as they are over provisioned. I had subscribed to 1 Gbps fiber and was at best getting 200-300 Mbps. They guarantee at least 800 Mbps, great except they can't even provide half that. 2) They send field technicians to calls without proper equipment ... I'm talking they don't even come on site with a laptop to run a speed test. It's pathetic, I genuinely feel bad for the techs because it's not on them. They'd correct the upstream problems if they could, and there are some knowledgable guys that you feel for the most. 3) You'll be promised that a cancellation fee won't be applied to your account because they failed to meet their commitment ... but then it will, so you'll need to ask yourself if your time to fight it is worth it.
