Giant hospital complexes are destroying america, thanks for participating

Avoid anything Northwestern. They have no issue sending women's care back to the 1940, and limiting access to care in the community.

When you take your infant daughter in because she developed a very high grade fever and get told its not an emergency is when I loose all faith in an establishment. I understand nurses and doctors are tired but it's no excuse to be lazy and make rude comments like that to a worrying mother who didn't go to medical school and wants to make sure her baby is ok. ER Triage Nurse Melissa you are absolutely revolting and need to turn in your credentials. You have no business being in that position talking down an infants worrying mother. I suppose next time we wait until she's extremely ill to make it worth your time? What a joke.

Staff during my hospital visit were nice, however Northwestern is a money hungry establishment. They don’t care about the patients well being, they only care about getting paid. All they want is your money and requested documentation that I don’t have the right to access. B.S! Do yourself a favor and seek medical care that is not an affiliate of Northwestern!

The hospital does not read nor answer questions here. You need to get on their website and check on their available jobs.
Is this a serious question? Given that the hospital security staff *definitely* doesn't answer questions left here, I can't imagine so...
This is just the hospital in general - you'd need to contact the specific department.
I'm sure it varies, depending on the person's needs. I'd call and ask.

I'm sure the staff do the best they can. While you feel like younger people might do this or that better always try to remember that with age comes wisdom. A good mix of both younger and more seasoned members is always a good thing. Also, patience is a virtue. Sometimes it just takes a little bit to get everything done.
Yes on the 1st level
Not that I am aware of. You use your medical insurance

I'm not sure. That is more of a nursing or registration
You'd need to contact that specific department. Although this is almost certainly the most expensive way to do it.
They have an application online for general volunteering that has to be printed out, filled in, and mailed to them. It has several questions regarding what your interests are and what you'd like to do as a volunteer. I don't know if they have volunteers who rock babies or not, but if so I'd say this is your starting spot. https://www.nm.org/patients-and-visitors/volunteer/volunteer-at-cdh-and-delnor If you really want to rock babies, you could also volunteer for adoption agencies to care for newborns for a few weeks each until they're adopted. The agency generally provides everything the baby needs, barring a bassinet and whatnot - you just have to care for and love on them 24/7 until someone takes them home.
Check their website for job openings.
The hospital does not answer questions here - only other people who have been there. You'll need to call the hospital and ask. Or better, go in there and talk to someone. They may be able to help you find a way to pay for it. Good luck! I hope all goes well.
The hospital neither reads nor answers these questions. You will need to go to their website and check there.
No, you may not, sadly.
All public hospitals do, so far as I'm aware.
No. They are attached to Northwestern, not Advocate.
