I won’t try to be *as* negative as everyone else but I will assure you that the average of 2.2 stars is being too generous. I understand these people are overworked and that they probably came to this particular type of health advocacy. However, kindness is NOT weakness. I’m very apologetic to the employees I encountered that must’ve thought that was the case in such a fragile, broken health care system. I was called “Boo-Hoo” by staff. I have a sense of humor, I laughed along, but honestly it just made me cry more. I found it very upsetting to scroll past peoples reviews to find this is the only review on their account, and the user name is “John Doe.” That means they don’t even feel safe identifying who they are to anyone that runs this place because they’re probably remembering reading the patient profile, thinking I was the problem. No. Places like this are the problem. It’s a broken system, and I left this place broken-spirited. To anyone reading this that isn’t the owner that is going to “apologize,” don’t. Don’t believe the medical reference to this sad excuse of a hospital. Sick people are psychologically-disabled, not mentally. So I don’t understand why people were insulting me because I felt like the smartest person in the group, even when ran by credentialed people. Will not be returning, not because I’m “better,” but for the sake of my trauma from my stay I cannot afford to take the risk of being here ever again. I wish I had a camera to record staffs conversations, and to take a picture of the bio hazardous, constantly unclean state of both the Intensive Unit(s), as well as the general population of victims that struggled similar to me. Please give me hope that there’s hope for all these lost people. The best compensation for your negligence of my safety and sanity would be CHANGE in “hospitals” like this. You are not safe here.

My son Recently had his first and what I hope to be last inpatient experience at River Edge. I read all the reviews and had a panic attack about him going. Once he got there he was just fine. He enjoyed the activities they did and said he made some friends. Dr.Sharma was great and communication from her and the nurses were great. The only problem I would say I had was with the receptionist staff. When I called up to get call times I was told I could call between 11 and 12 to talk to my son so when I called it 11 they then told me I had to call at 12 so I went ahead and took a shower and missed my sons call and when I tried to call at 12 they said I had missed the call time I was not very happy! And today I tried to call to get a hold of Dr. Sharma who has just treated him and prescribed her medication and they told me they have no one there on the Directory named Dr. Sharma. I called last week when I was having a bit of a crisis to talk to her and they told me I had to call back on Monday to speak with her. So I’m confused does she work there or does she not? Also when I went to go drop off my child’s clothing I told them I would be there later And no one informed me of the drop off time. So when I got there the front desk was closed luckily a nice man came down and helped me out.

If I could I would give it 0 stars. Staff are abusive to patients and they don't keep it clean at all. Only thing that was good about the place was the Doctor and Social worker other than that this place needs to be shut down.

Depending on age and who you are to them you can make them
I have
How long was he in there when did you put him in there
Google maps? If not, calling them might be your best bet.
Nope. They make you do laundry or dishes for an hour per minute early. Ha! Seriously though, they actually PREFER that patients arrive a few minutes early and will take you early if possible. And yes, they have a waiting room with access to a water fountain and a bathroom.
It gives 3 meals a day along with snacks such as crackers, juice, fruit and stuff like that between, I was discharged a couple days ago
