Do NOT waste your time going to this rheumatologist- even if its your only choice! (as it was mine at the time) If you've ever heard the joke "What do you call a doctor that gets all C's in school? A doctor" that would adequately describe Dr Romea. Every time I'd go to see him he very much felt like he was "phoning it in" and even misdiagnosed me. He's very much about pushing pills and not really getting to the root of the issue. To top it off, I've heard his staff explaining things to him SEVERAL times, even about prescribing medicines that he shouldn't because they would have deadly interactions. I wish I was kidding. Oh, and he does have a reputation with other medical professionals for good reason. Even my primary care doctor in Roseville knew of Dr Romea and his lack of care. On top of this, the wait (when I went at least) was ALWAYS long. On average the wait was 1-2 HOURS after your appointment time. If you have an appointment when the place opens, it still can be a long wait for them to even open. This was not just an issue with me, but every time I went the other patients had the same issue. The staff itself isn't generally very pleasant, and very unprofessional. I'm sure they just really don't like working there, but it shows.
