Petco groomers at this location shaved my double coated dogs. It’s basic knowledge that it’s harmful to golden retrievers and border collies, yet they still shaved them. It’s saddens me that people meant to protect and take care of animals would do this. It’s heartbreaking that our dogs are having all these issues they previously did not. They should never have suggested, much less actually shaved them. I was not there when they were dropped, and if the person dropping them off misunderstood, they should have informed him of the all the harm they could be doing to their dogs. My border collie always had a beautiful, naturally soft and shiny coat. This is going to affect his hair growth and health. I hope no one else has to go through this. To the Petco groomers- Please make better decisions, and educate your clients— especially if you’re the “expert”. FYI: the groomers admitted to knowing they were causing harm and exposing them to cancer after we confronted them.
