Great environment, awesome coaches that are patient, helpful, and also push you, and a solid group of training partners. Best gym I’ve trained at.

Love it. Very clean, family friendly, good variety of bodies and skill levels to work with. Since day one everyone at the gym has been friendly and supportive. Coach Andrew has a very good way of explaining content, connecting to the students and making sure we understand the what we are working on. I've tried few gyms in the area and this one clicked with me the best. Highly recommend stopping in and giving few tries

This is one of the best places that you can find for a great teacher and an amazing environment!!

Last spring, I was looking to get a jump start on my physical fitness, and I found Nexus and head coach Andrew online (just googling jui jitsu gyms). I've been training at Nexus for 8 months now. I had no martial arts training before this, and only one season of JV wrestling over a million years ago (I'm no spring chicken). I'm a dad and I have a job, so I needed a safe and positive environment in which to train. Nexus is that and more, it's a real community. I often bring my kids to sit on the side and watch during class, and when they are old enough for the kids classes I will be on the side watching them. I've done a lot of group fitness activities over the years (crossfit, boot camps, running groups, etc) but this one is the best in terms of the commuinty/fitness combination. Crossfit was second, but the injuries in that sport were too much for me. This is a great alternative for athletes looking for a demanding physical experience that won't break you. Drew is a great coach. I don't know much about jiu jitsu but I am an educator, so I know a lot about teaching. He is really good at breaking down concepts in a way that is meaningful for newbies like me and also for advanced students. The lessons are structured and you get constant feedback. I could go on and on. Can't recommend this gym enough.

jiu jitsu and bjj are the same thing, generally speaking. brazilian jiu jitsu is what people are usually referring to when talking about gyms that teach jiu jitsu. at nexus, one of the folsom gyms, we teach bjj as well as kickboxing/muay thai and mma.
yes. nexus is a folsom gym that teaches bjj
