They treat GROWN men like they're children and a lot of the staff are condescending

US Vets provided me the temporary housing I needed untill I was able to use my hud-vash and get my own place 6 years ago, where i met other fellow veterns. The food was very good and supplies were provided through staff. I have had my own place since. I am very grateful. Thank you!

Yes ...during normal business hours.
Salvation Army on Main Street and Owens will buy you a ticket as long as you have an address to return to
Be a vet and homeless
Yes ask your case worker and she/he will help you get one
Many of the veterans are rude and dangerous homeless people. I would never let my kids go there!
they serve 3 meals if you live there
I really don't know. I've been permanent housing 5 years and I don't know what the current protocol is.
Sorry but don't know
Not that I know of. There are job faires all the time. Work force 4 vets.
Google reviews is used to get info about businesses. I would probably ask about this on Craigslist if you are looking for an individual and you have questions about them under "missed connections"
They do go to businesses to grab food. I'm told they don't go to homes for furniture/household goods, but check Opportunity Village, LV Rescue Mission, Habitat for Humanity, and Salvation Army. Safenest for household goods
You need a referral, dd214, les, for the intake. come in to speak to a outreach speacialist
No
Yes they have some workers right there on premises. The apt there are nice
This is 2 things the 1st floor is transitional housing for homeless vets, through the VA Grant per diem program, the other 2 floors are apartments rented to vets by Cloudburst Development
Not that I have ever heard of. There are some people that stay out late and some of them get locked out from time to time. Thats about the best I can think of. Sorry I cant say for sure.
If you go down to the VA hospital the main one they can help you find your DD-214. And get some help. And then you can go to the vet center downtown to help you there.
The cost at first will be determined by what floor you go to when you enter and yes you keep your SSI And your 214 should be good
+ they should have at least twice yearly
Yes they have a matinanced pool
Well it's Friday evening already so I don't know but Monday 6:30 am get to the North East VA clinic and log in on the homeless help for vets kiosk. You'll get a number and at 7am or so you and your family should be able to get housed. A copy of your dd214 and a valid ID is all you need. God bless you and your family and thank you for your service.
If you are a veteran of the U.S. Military services and homeless your first and best time saving visit should be to the CRRC (Community Resource and Referral Center) @ the North East Primary Care Clinic (NEPCC) for an intake evaluation. 4461 E. Charleston. Actual staff services begin @ 0730 but the gate and bldg. often open as early as 6am and there are days when there is only one referral made for housing and of course you'll want that one to be yourself. If you are a vet, thank you for your service to the nation and good luck. P.S. Whatever time it is when you get inside go straight to the kiosk and get a number.
You have to go to the VA and get a referral first.
It took me 4 hours once I got to US Vets from the CRCC
You have to be homeless for at least 2 days and go to the va clinic on east charleston and they well help you get into U.S. Vets
Go to nearest national guard recruiting station or on line, should have all the necessary info for proceeding
If you are a Veteran. YES
There are many options available to you thru US Vet's all geared towards sustainable independent housing but there are at least 2 fully acquired complexs apart of US Vets. One of which may have more tennants w/varying degrees pf mh. Issies than the other communoty does but that could also be a sirmised statistic from a biased algorithm report.
I do believe that since he is retired he qualifies for the VA hospital.
Yes
Go too the va hospital talk with benifets they should be able too answer you ??s
