Excellent and authentic Louisiana seafood with real authentic Louisiana clientele. It has NOT become a haven for bi-coastal (California and New York) tourists or immigrants. Genuine Cajuns and other native bayou people come here to talk about hunting, fishing, boating and seaplaning through the back country just to the South and west of New Orleans. Genuine specimens of taxidermy from the owners' worldwide hunting expeditions adorn the walls. The Southern accents here are all real,not Hollywood...

It's a really good gumbo if you like the chicken and sausage gumbo. Seafood gumbo is always delicious. Perino's is one of my favorite places for seafood
There are 2 sizes, A cup or a bowl. A cup is $8.95 but believe me that can fill you up
Everyone wears a mask workers and customers. Surfaces wiped down between customers.
On the news they said that it was a homicide suspect at the hotel in regards to the standoff. Law enforcement negotiated everything along with the family of the suspect. The suspect's name wasn't released.
And they have long tables for big groups to make it easier for groups
