Food is great, service is nice, but they support insurrection.

Best Chinese on the Northshore. It doesn't compare to Chinese food in other areas of the country, but still the best here.

Update: got take out again, very pleased. Food was hot and fresh, prices good. Olympics opening ceremonies day seemed like the perfect time to try Northshore Empress for the first time. We ordered takeout and were told pickup in 25 minutes, went 5 minutes early, food was ready. But it was cold and old, as if it came off of a steam table with the heat turned off. The mandarin chicken and empress (general Tso) chicken both had great warm sauces on them but the generous portion of chicken itself was clearly cooked much earlier. The won tons and egg roll were not crispy at all. A few minutes in the air fryer made them edible. The potsticker was beyond redemption, a hard doughy mess with a pasty filling. The entrees were generous and inexpensive but the sides were relatively overpriced even if the quality had been better. Maybe we picked a bad time to order, we will go back again and hope for better quality. But no potstickers!

Masks and distancing
Last time we went, they had increased the spacing of tables in the middle of the room. I don't recall exactly how they were treating the booths. Certainly the first time I went there, they were limiting the number of booths. I don't recall on my last visit about 2 weeks ago.
