Great place for the whole family. Thank you! 🙂 👍

We absolutely love this library. The kids are in love with the new children section. So bright and inviting. Great staff which is a huge plus, they're always so willing to help and direct us to our desired books!!
Sparkles 2016
Could be 5 stars if improvement is made... (See below) Firstly, this is the most beautiful, historic library I have ever seen! I can't wait to see all the new improvements when they're complete. The only issue I have, the one spot where you can sit comfortably, to read aloud to someone is the family area. Which is set up great! However, staff down there are always chatting very loudly with each other and with patrons of the library. I get that this area may have some extra noise, such as children laughing and playing, or story telling ECT.... But it is still a library and one would think they'd be able to read 1 chapter of a book to someone without having to stop for 20 plus minutes at a time because they can't hear themselves think, let alone read to someone with the level of noise the librarians create.

As of summer 2022, a lot of it is under construction, sizing it down considerably, but the staff alone deserves 5 stars. Very good selection, very nice, historical building, and an altogether excellent experience.

They have mostly Chrome and a few Windows computers. You can borrow an iPad tablet to use in the library.
Seymour Library does not run the scarf drive. The Scarf Project runs it; the library is a pick up spot for scarves. This year it will be Thursday, December 5 if you would like to participate.
