This is the temperature in my mom's room. 82 degrees'!! This is impossible for the residents to live in and the staff to work in. It has been like this for several months.

This is from an employee's perspective. Scheduling coordinator is impossible to get ahold of. Breaks are apparently limited to only the break room, not allowed to set foot outside the facility even to sit in your own vehicle. Lunch must be signed up for by 7:30 am or you are refused a meal. (If the sign up sheet is even available at all. Even upon regular request and reminder) Breakfast is not provided, unless you are given special treatment. Very unclean facility, cockroaches and bed bugs are rampant. No space for two person lifting, thus making it impossible to adhere to HIPPA regulations. Severely understaffed, those who do work are very unfriendly. This place is like a small clique of high school students who don't like anyone who isn't themselves. Do not recommend to have any residents stay at this facility. Move them to a better facility ASAP. Its just as bad to be employed here.

Great place if you like negligence and theft. Don't buy your relative a nice TV or it will magically "stop working", they will "throw it away" and replace it with one of their own TVs. They also won't tell you about it until you come to collect it. They won't remember when it happened either. Numerous cell phone charges have disappeared. Smaller things like nice electric razors, don't bother. Those will disappear too and be replaced with other ones. When did we find out about all the missing stuff? This was of course after he passed away in the hospital. What was the cause of his visit to the hospital? Something the Doctor literally called "Nursing Home Dehydration". My grandpa was always thirsty, so getting him to drink was not a problem. However he didn't have the ability to get the water himself, meaning he needed the staff to do that for him. That means he only could have dehydrated if they didn't give him fluids. He was also in the hospital a few weeks prior for an infection that wasn't thier fault, however he complained about back pain while at the hospital. Turns out he had damaged his back (presumably from a fall) and had to be put in a back brace. We're we notified of any incident that could have created the back problem? No. Did Pleasant Valley take his back pain complaints seriously and seek out any type of medical attention? Also No. We would have never know about his back if not for the infection sending him to the hospital. This is a great place to send ant relatives you hate.

This is a very good place if you can't stay home. My father did rehab here after pneumonia 4 years ago. The staff was caring, the food was good. Recently covid killed more patients here than it should have but that was because no one knew enough about the Wuhan flu at the time.

My Dad is there and they take good care of him. Not sure of the cost, my sister handles that.
