Average big company vet. Alright for low maintenance cats and overtly friendly dogs but not for anything else. Their treatment plan didn't help my cats UTI leading to emergency surgery being done. Nor do they have the ability to even see my high stress dog. Gave them a try twice with my dog (with 2 separate vets) and both times ended with him not getting an exam or even his shots. Pretty disappointed since they're vets and they should be able to treat all types, not just overtly friendly ones. I was told to get an 'at home vet' twice now by them even tho my dog has been treated fine at other vets. Basically, if you want low maintenance care this is the place for you but I won't bring any of my pets here again.

If you’ve had your dog see the vet within a year you are supposed to be able to order more medication. Well because we were “close” to the one year mark they refused to follow their own rule and insisted we come in in for a visit. Our dog is totally healthy and hasn’t had worms since we got him 9 years ago. Basically they are running a racket. We went to Stilwell and won’t be coming back.

Terrible service. I've been bringing my animals here for a long time. But recently I brought my older dog in. He was losing hair and I wanted to try and figure out the issue. Didn't even get to speak with a doctor until I called back after his appointment was over and asked. They had no real ideas or any kind of plan to figure out why he was losing hair. I adopted a new cat that ended up being very ill. They hardly had any real input on how to take care of her. I was given a print out. They basically told me the only solution was to spend tons of money. I went to another animal hospital afterwards. They gave me many ideas and suggestions to help her and give her a decent life. And offered affordable remedies. I wanted to cancel the plans I had here and was forced to call a helpline to do so that had a wait time of 90+ minutes. Banfield used to be a great place. But now it just seems understaffed and overbooked. With no real concern for my animals or me.

Banfield is always able to squeeze my animals in when they're sick or something is wrong. I love that I am able to make an appointment for same day or next day so my animal is seen asap. We also recently had to put our beloved cat down after 17 years with him and the team at Banfield was amazing. They made sure we were ready and talked us through every single step. We were able to take as much time as we needed and never felt rushed. We even received the nicest sympathy card from the entire staff afterwards. Hand written notes from everyone. It was so very thoughtful and kind. Thank you, Banfield!!!

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
Hi Johann - Many of our veterinarians treat exotic animals such as reptiles and birds. We also offer treatment for other small mammals, including guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and gerbils. We recommend contacting your nearest Banfield Pet Hospital to find out if they are equipped to treat your pet, or with any specific questions you may have regarding bringing your exotic pet or small mammal in for a veterinary visit. The hospital will also be your best source for pricing information, but for a rough estimate on certain services, you can also use our pricing calculator here: https://www.banfield.com/our-hospitals/services-pricing#/pricingwidget
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
