At my last visit, Dr. Le suggested we schedule cataract surgery. I was surprised because we had not really discussed cataracts In the past and I did not believe I had any of the normal symptoms. When I asked why he thought I needed surgery, his response was, "Look how old you are." (I am 76 1/2). When I pressed further, he became agitated and told me to come back in one year. I just had a full exam by another doctor who found only the slightest sign of cataracts and told me my lenses are remarkably clearer than most people of my age. I do not need cataract surgery. And I will not be returning to see Dr. Le.
