Honeycomb shades, sometimes called a Cell Shade, or accordion shade, are fantastic temperature control shades. According to industry experts, a typical honeycomb shade can provide a 3.25 additional R factor, to as much as 5! A double, or triple cell shade, would provide even more. Shutters also provide some increased heating and cooling control. While not as much as honeycombs, you can't beat the look of a great plantation shutter! Either way you go, you'll likely see savings in your energy bill.
Yes. At Budget Blinds, we do it ALL! From measuring, to assisting with selection, to installation, clean up and disposal. You won't have to lift a finger! Despite the myriad "on line" window coverings companies, this isn't the easiest DYI home fashion. Did you know, each window needs at least 7 measures, not just 2? It's not as simple as width by height. There are considerations such as depth, obstruction, plum and square issues, inside vs outside mounting, lift options, etc. Our consultations are free, let us do the hard part!
