Mike Hess is bad for San Diego

I used to visit the Miramar location and met Mike Hess back in the day. He was an inspiration for my home brewing endeavors. The brews were always fresh & tasty. It hurts to say, but the beer has suffered over the years. The North Park location is visibly amazing, but the staff is rigid and has little-to-none knowledge of brewing or beer tasting. It’s all about crowd control… not community, and “policing the patrons”… according to the young, inexperienced, naïve, and rude bartender. I’m generally positive and don’t write many reviews… but this is deserved :(

I am not a big beer drinker but when Chef Alvaro Hernandez does popup I must visit. It was my lucky day as some slushy were served. I tried a margarita slushy was delicious 😋 so as Chef Alvaro's birra taco😋
