Called the store for a cake, was told my options that were available that day. I picked a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. Asked for a birthday message to be put on the cake. Paid over the phone. When I arrived to pick up the cake, it was a marble cake with chocolate frosting. Birthday message was already written on the wrong cake so I went ahead and took that cake. Don't get me wrong, the cake was yummy BUT it's not what I asked/ paid for.

I had ordered a smash cake and some cup cakes. I ordered over the phone and even had a nice conversation about the theme and she knew the monster truck I was doing the party for. I had asked for blue frosting on the cup cakes and got brown. I asked for a ramp on the smash cake for the monster truck and it was flat. So that was pretty disappointing. And then the vanilla cupcake tasted like corn bread. The chocolate cake was also pretty grainy. I just wasn’t super impressed with how it all went.

Their carrot cake is mainly fill-ins if you like the proportion of 2/3 raisins, 1/3 nuts and dry cake. Maybe you'll luck out and get a fresh cake. Mine was stale it was later in the day...
Hello! We follow all Health Department guidelines. All employees wear masks at all times, disinfect at regular intervals, wear gloves when in contact with food and change after every customer interaction. City Cakes has anything you would request from any other bakery. Vegan Donuts, Cinnamon Rolls, and made to order Cheese Cakes. In my opinion the best Vegan bakery in the area.

Just a fair warning, the red velvet cake tastes like wet dirt...I would not recommend it. It's the worst I've ever had. Buy a gluten free box mix from the grocery store and save yourself a lot of money and have a MUCH more delicious cake! Just saying.... Trying to help avoid the mistake I made. When I went to them to make things right, they treated me like a criminal. Worst business interaction I've ever had.

Their assortment changes regularly, so hard to say. Everything is vegan, and they have a lot of gluten-free options.
