I stopped here on a grueling cross country trip, had to go from Sacramento to Delaware in like 56 hours (don’t ask) by myself. My sister was giving birth very chaotically. I had been drinking primarily energy drinks for the past week, not a lot of water, bad food, big recipe for kidney stones type diet, which I didn’t know at the time, but lo and behold I wake up 2 hours after head hits pillow because I think I’m being stabbed. It only got way worse when I tried to move, so I’m stuck on this bed screaming help, still not totally sure there isn’t some guy behind me holding a knife in my back. Now I know there are lots of seedy people who hang around hotels and motels, who scream and party too loud and cry wolf, so I was very impressed that a staff member came to my room so quickly and bravely in the middle of the night. It must have been less than two minutes. There were two of them, and the girl opened the door with the master key and came in first, followed by a skinny guy looked like a teenager. Now they were not doctors, so there wasn’t much they could do besides call 911, but they were very kind. Most importantly, they confirmed that there was no one in the room or any knives around, even checking closets and under the beds like tucking in a child, which calmed me some, though I was still sweating with pain. I know they call them first responders but they were worse responders than the hotel staff, who showed up within seconds, meanwhile the ambulance took 40 minutes coming from two towns over and got lost in the hospital parking lot dropping me off. I ended up staying in the hospital for two days and the hotel even sent me a get well card. The girl was there at the hotel when i came to get my stuff and car and let me stay one more night half off because I was still too groggy to drive long distance. My sister’s pregnancy ended up mellowing out and she did not give birth for another six days so I got to be there with her. This Roadway Inn would be an award winning hotel if I was in charge of giving out awards.

Checked in at 7am, paid $80, by 1pm front desk was calling saying needed to be out by 2, asked for additional hour and was told I'd have to pay an additional $20, for an hour!!! Room was barely dirty, bathroom was filthy and the sink wouldnt drain. Multiple holes in the walls, cobwebs with nests in the corners, couldn't watch tv because the reception was snowy looking. I understand hotels are often privately owned but Choice Hotels needs to at least have standards to operate with their name.

We had a smoke free room and it smelled like cigarette smoke through our bathroom vent. We had to run the vent the whole time to keep down the smell and keep the bathroom door shut. We had a 2 night stay and came back to our room to find it had not been cleaned or new towels or coffee refills. Maid service didn't show up that day. Silverfish were in the breakfast area and food crusted on the table.

Absolutely disgusted! Traveling through NE after backpacking with high school students we were forced to hunker down due to storms. Upon checking into our rooms we found a variety of human body hair on top and around our already soiled bedding. Dirty towels in a bathtub/ shower that looked like it hadn't been washed in a couple of years. The female owner was kind at first and blamed her "damn housekeepers" .We moved to yet another room that was just as bad if not worst than the ladder. Again we contacted her ,being very kind and apologetic. In reality we could have been the complete opposite. She then moved us to our third room where we found everything in the same horrible condition! This time around we found a dismantled fire alarm and a dirty razor blade jammed into the wall next to the bathroom mirror. Have to mention many other disgusts vile things were noticed while bouncing from room to room. I will spare you the deatails of dried male fluids. We finally asked for a refund, we wanted to leave. The female manger argued with us stating we messed up multiple of her rooms and denied any filth in the rooms after she herself went to each room, mind you she wouldn't let us come with her. After an hour of arguing and a sherif showing up to help we left with out any refund and possibly fleas and or bed bugs. This place needs to be shut down !!' Notifying the Health department and BBB in the morning. DRIVE PAST!!!
