Watch yourself heading into Norristown from West Norriton, particularly in the evening. Sketchy part of the trail where kids tried to jump me but decided against it after seeing how fast i was going. Enjoy this scenic trail but keep your eyes open for kids milling around the trail sometimes in large groups and react quickly

Some areas are freshly blacktopped. I don't see any reason with longboarding. Have fun!
Yes it is. The trail is in great shape too. There is a tow path stretch through Manayunk that isn't paved, but is still passable on a road bike.
