We received a Lien Notice via certified mail for a late payment that was not ours. The lien was filed by Kilgore Companies, a construction contractor. They filed the lien to recover payment from another company who did not pay Kilgore for cement. Kilgore combined our cement order with this company who did not pay Kilgore. We paid for cement in advance and paid for some of the langur in advance as well. The SL county recorder did not even check to verify the late payment was ours. The late payment was for a company that did not pay for cement. That company’s cement order was combined with our cement order. This does Not make it our obligation. The contractor Kilgore Companies filed against us and put a lien on our property for someone else’s debt. That’s a pathetic business practice. The fact the Salt Lake Controller approved it is equally as pathetic.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service! Sub par don’t even begin to cover the issues with this office still. Firstly, I filed papers and completed the process perfectly on my end. Paid the $40 to file. And thought that was that. They sent me my follow up paperwork. And seemed to show it was fine. Then about 3 weeks later, I received a letter saying there was a single digit missing from the paper. And guess what? It was a single digit missing WHERE THEIR EMPLOYEE FILLED IT IN!!! And they not only want me to refile the entire thing, but pay the $40 again for their mistake! I called, talked to manager “Belinda”. Explained the issue. She said she would have to ask the employee if he did in fact fill out the spot on the paper and make the mistake. I was laughing as I told her it was six weeks earlier and there was no way with the hundreds of people he sees, he could possibly remember. Cut and dry, she was using this angle as a way for them to avoid responsibility for THEIR mistake!!! She said she would call me back that day or the next morning. No call that day. No call the next day at all. And no call the following Monday! These people are STILL INEPT at their jobs, as bad as when Gary Ott and that controversial time was going on! I am not going to pay for THEIR mistake! Make this right! And do it in a expedited time fashio for your mistake!

You do not get a title when you pay off your home. The mortgage company, bank or title company sends in a document called a Deed of Reconveyance. This document let's any curious party know that this loan has been paid off. At the time that you buy your home you will receive a Warranty Deed, this is the deed to your home as long as there has not been any other deeds recorded since then.
This is probably a scam , that people do to steal so someones home you should be ashamed
Call the recorder's office. You can make an appointment to pick it up. COPY FEES Paper or Digital (Documents, Plats, Labels): Copies of documents per page $2* Copies of Vault documents per page $5* Certification per document (i.e. 2-page certified document-$9.00 (2 pages = $4.00 + cert @ $5 = $9.00) $5
Call 385-468-8145. Give them your Bk 8342 Pg 8359 information and they can look it up and let you know what it is.
Have a Title Company do a title search for you. Or call County Recorder and ask if it is public info they can give out.
No need to get a title company involved. Just take the last deed retype with all of the information and format adding your name behind his, then go down to the County Recorder's office and file it. The only bad news is that all of the counties now charge $40.00 to file it thanks to our Utah legislators who could care less about the little guy or gal. It's all about money. Used to be $10.00.
The Recorders office does not record any wills due to the fact that they contain a lot of personal information.
You can go there and ask to search your name or property address. Is it a federal or state lien.
If the divorce took place in Salt Lake County, you need to contact Third District Court Clerk.
Go to the County Recorder, first floor, west wing, north building.
Call County Recorder or talk to a Title Company.
As fast as you can ask the question.
Call County Recorder at 385-468-8145
Not unless it has been recorded here. Generally we do not record trusts. There is too much personal information in them. If you are putting your real estate in to the trust, you need to record a deed from owner to the trustees of said trust. If you want a copy of the actual trust, you will need to talk to the attorney who drew it up.
