Favorite used book store in the city!

Fun place to browse. An absolute jumble of books and you never know what you will find. All. Books in great condition. No strange smells or pet hair. It is hot thought in the summer the AC was pumping out cold air on the first floor but the second floor was intolerable due to heat. Cute cat on second floor by the window. Be warned no public bathroom.

Tremendous variety of books: classic used bookstore vibe. Cute cat, too.

It's got plenty of books and the people are friendly.

They trade for used books, i.e. you get store credit, but no cash. They're pretty adamant about the distinction
Yes downstairs
Hand sanitizer is provided and employees wear masks. Masks required. The aisles are a bit tight.
You can get used hard back novels (classics) there. The price for HB may be + - 12 dollars. The store is a used book store and you will have to hunt among amazing titles. It is the overflowing of books on shelves and on the floor but believe it really has books classified arranged ABC order.
I'm not sure. It's a used book store, you can call.
The 33 or 48 bus via Market St. will get you to 2nd & Market. The Book Trader is on the right on 2nd across from a small park.
It's possible but the store is so densely packed it's hard to find some thing that specific. If you are in the area I'd say take a look. Usually whoever is at the desk can tell you where to look. If you don't have time maybe try a bigger store.
We do not buy books outright, however we do give store credit at a rate of 10-20% of the original retail price of the book. If we cannot take a book we will donate it or you can take it back as long as you stay for the duration of the trade.
Yes. It has language learning books for all major languages (written in English), as well as translation dictionaries. They also have a significant number of books written in various languages.
From what I remember they will take current text books but only offer store credit for all trade-ins.
Harry Potter? Harry Potter is a fictional character and cannot be found anywhere except your imagination. They do have Harry Potter books tho.
I would give it a shot. I do think they have a limit to how many and what types of books they will buy or accept at any given time.
They have 2 floors of books you should find anything there
