Unfortunately their cooking is not the best and their actitud is the worse! It was my sisters birthday. My brother in Law wanted to do a surprise birtparty. We Had a full house. My brother in law bought lots of food for everyone. The Tostones they severd us a lot of them (60 Plus) more than enough to feed everyone where old. These tostones where Hard as a rock. Very, very hard. No one could eat them. Whe. We took them back and told them about this. They did not even offer an apology.. even gave us a real bad excuse of us taking to long to eat them (Seriously?) These Tostones where really, really bad/old, hard! And they gave us. Really bad actitud instead of putting themselfs in our shows (in our position) So Unfortunate! The lack of profesionalism is increíble! 😢 I would not be going back to this place and will not recomend it to anyone neither.

I wouldn't go back. I've eaten authentic Cuban food many places and this was the worst. The bad - rude waitresses, not friendly, bad service, no refills, no hello, just stood there and stared at us like "why are you here". I even said hello, how are you? Nothing. Very awkward. Place is dingy, extremely outdated, rice was mushy, side vegetables were from a frozen medley and not microwaved all the way, the worst part - THEY CHARGED AN 18% SERVICE FEE FOR USING A DEBIT CARD!!!! They do not give you a bill at your table, you have to get it at the counter, doesn't show you the bill, just told us the price. $87 for 4 people. We left a 20% tip, read the receipt when we got home (dark outside when we left) and I was SHOCKED to see a $13 service fee. No mention of this anywhere. So we also tipped ON THE SERVICE FEE! They know what they're doing, sneaky and dirty. There were 2 dishes that were good, but definitely no where near good enough to come back. I'm disputing this charge with my CC company, telling everyone I know to stop going here. This place will be closed soon, unless they get enough business from their family and friends but I doubt it.

So...after sending my wife some lunch via a Grubhub order for the first time from this restaurant, we went to dine with the family since my wife said the food was really good. And it is... I order the Sunday special Stewed Goat and my wife order the pan seared grouper with vegetables - also good. My wife decided to take her fish plate for work and wanted the Stewed Goat after she tried mine. Ordered it with White rice, black beans and Tamale. The food was flavorful, even the beans. My only gripe was my rice look and tasted to be the last of the pot with some hard rice grains (we call it 'pegao') while my wife received a freshly cooked batch. I love 'pegao' but this was not really pegao texture or flavor. Either way, it was a few so I overlooked it. I had a Mamey shake which was really good. My wife had the Tamarindo canned drink which was packed with sugar - how about 198%, WHAT? Needless to say she had to dilute that with lots of water. We did choose to try one of their larger than normal cookies because we were so stuffed, but was not impressed. They had other pastries which we'll try next time. Overall food was good but service was slow (including waiting for our orders) and had to repeat to our waitress (she was nice and apologetic though) about getting us napkins, water and that sugar packed Tamarindo drink - which we will pass on our next visit. Yes... this place deserves another visit and we'll see if the service performance is better. Sorry, no pics this time...
