This is a little hidden gem in the Ozarks. I kind of wish it wasn't on Google map so that tourists wouldn't find out about it. In the Ozarks region this is one of the only sandy beaches you will find. Nearby there is also a smaller sandy beach with $5 parking so there's usually fewer people but it is a smaller beach. This place gets packed with boaters as well as beach goers. Amazingly the sand is smooth with little to no rocks. You won't find that anywhere else in the Ozarks.

Situated in a pretty place but the place, park system, city or people who come to the beach have no civic pride at all. Garbage was everywhere. The few garbage cans were just heaping piles of garbage..... clearly hadn't been picked up in a long time. And.....of course the garbage is blowing out into the very pretty lake. C'mon Heber Springs! Is that the impression you want to leave?

Great little spot the day we went the wind was absolutely awful so we had to take the canopy down because it was about to break it! They have a bathroom but the porta potty was cleaner that day than the bathrooms were!! Had a volleyball net set up and you can drive your boat right to the beach

In April , it's peaceful. Some people get in the water this time of year, but it's too cold for me. It's still my favorite place in Heber Springs. I have already started my tan for this year.

Hey Jane
Flooded but open
Saturday, the paved parking was closed but the dirt parking was open. The water was still high, up into the paved lot. There was a tiny bit of sandy beach peeking out.
Yes there is
