Sets a nice first impression but has a lot of minor issues that really stack up against it. The Internet is not very fast and completely unsecured which is a major problem if you are traveling for business. The rooms are trying too hard to look modern but an outdated version of it and come off like someone in 1975 trying to design the rooms of 2010. The website proudly proclaims they now have room service but it was unavailable at 8pm on a Tuesday so who knows when if there that would actually be usable. 10pm that same night there is music blasting from across the street. It's so close to being a nice hotel but all these nitpicks add up and ultimately I would choose another hotel next time if possible.

I think the shuttle is only available to Miami International airport but I'm not sure!
The miles is deceiving. The real question is how long does it take to get there during a specific time of the day. This morning at 6 am out took me 20 minutes by driving down 36th Street instead of the Dolphin Expressway. Any later or the Expressway could be an entirely different matter
The hotel is good and comfortable. If you just want to go to the dolphin mall, it's close. But there are more malls located further away. I recommend having a vehicle
Yes, they have an airport shuttle. It arrives every hour on the hour.
