Thanks for your question. I assume that when you say BBVA is BBVA de Mexico (Bancomer), a shipment is typically available in BBVA's system in 15 Minutes. This may vary if it is a deposit on account or a cash pickup. If it is a deposit on account, the bank may not show the deposit immediately since it depends on the bank's process. But typically it is no more than one business day. You also have to consider other cases that may delay your transfer. One of these cases is if your name is similar to another name that is on the OFAC lists of the United States. If your name is similar, Girosol by law has to obtain an identification or other document to verify the data. If we have your identification, our Legal Compliance department can verify and authorize your transfer in less than 30 minutes. Hi Bob thank you for asking. To fully answer your question, I have to state two separate conditions. First, Girosol has no limit on the amount of funds you can send, as long as we have your identification, date of birth and you are able to document your source of the funds being transferred. These are anti money laundering requirements to maintain a safe financial network. Secondly, there are limits set by different payers in the country of destination thus it depends on the payer selected. In your case of Costa Rica, if you were to select the TeleDollar payer network, their limit is $1,999 for bank deposits and $4999 for cash pickup. Hi Delmy, The exchange rate between US Dollars and Guatemalan Quetzales depends on the payer network you select when making your transfer and the day you make it. If I give you an exchange rate at this time it would not help you as it may be very different at the time you put in your transfer. Please go to your nearest agent or if you have a bank account you can download our money transfer application for phones that is in the Apple store and in the Android store.
