Had to give up my dog due to my age and no longer able to give him the exercise and play he needs. They worked with him to socialize him and made it easier on me because I know he'll get a good new home.

I am fostering two dogs for a lady facilitated by the Humane Society here. The post for fostering severely underreported the one dog's dire need for veterinary care due to her age and health. My contact is the owner's insurance agent, who …Hi Michelle. I see your concerns but I wanted to let you know a few things. These were not our animals and if they were, you would have been provided paperwork on them and they would have received vet attention. We were asked to make a post looking for someone to watch a woman's dogs. All we were provided with was a picture and a guesstimate on age and breed from the agent. They said to have anyone interested call them. So that's what we did. The fact you got no paperwork, no info, no questions asked does not pertain to the shelter. All that would have come from the owner and the agent helping them. We only put up a picture too see if someone would help the lady out. The dogs were not owned by the shelter so you were not fostering through us. All of our fosters get paperwork on vaccines and we have application that they need to fill out. We know exactly where they live, their phone number, any animals, or children in the home. The whole works. We have policies and protocols that we follow. The fact is, that all that information that you were looking for was to come from the owner and agent. We did not talk to the owner, we only has contact with the agent and only knew what she knew. So if we would have known the dog or dogs were in bad shape we would have addressed it and made it public in the post. We didn't need to know your living situation as everything was handled through the agent and the owner and they were not our dogs.. . I'm sorry you feel badly of us. All of our Animals receive the best vet care and we do not have any issues with any of our fosters. Once again, you were not fostering through the Humane Society, we were just the ones to make a post for someone else. If you have more questions or concerns, you can call us 715-635-4720.
