This place is very unusual and had a cult vibe I can’t describe. Very strange and a bit unsettling. I understand it’s a “Christian” type of place but it’s a bit much and also we were told to be in our rooms by 10:30 how very very odd. I wouldn’t suggest this place unless you just want to experience a completely weird atmosphere. Lots of Amish as well just a very strange vibe.

Rooms are lovely and quaint. Very spacious and clean. Our room had a larger fridge, microwave, etc. Dinner (included) was buffet style and bland. Institutionally so. Introduce those green beans to some bacon and seasoning. The roast beef, which was tender but curiously cuboid, had not made even a passing acquaintance with an onion. The cook was sneaking a little magic into the mashed potatoes, though. Yumm. This place is like Disney World level clean. Huge baskets of petunias and plantings of geraniums. There are scripture references tastefully sprinkled throughout the property, in what seems out of a genuine concern for souls.

Very nice getaway. Fancy, very friendly staff, excellent lake view and rooms are spectacular. The area and property are very well maintained and is such a great family vacation especially if you’re from Michigan and don’t wanna drive out of state to get that experience! Definitely recommended to all my family and friends! Will be coming here every year from now on. They have excellent food and very affordable rooms.

Great place for a getaway. We spent two nights here and really enjoyed it. Breakfast and Dinner are free with banana splits served every evening after dinner (for lunch we went into the town of Fremont which is only a 15 minute or less drive away). We stayed in one of their Back Rooms. Very clean. The room faced the lake on one side and parking lot on the other. Would recommend bringing sleep shades due to the lights from the parking lot coming in the room; the blinds are not room-darkening blinds, no curtains..only a valance on the top. Overall though, great experience. Staff is very friendly. They have a gift shop that has a variety of things including home-made jam, honey and syrup.

No, but you can plan events there. They have the space.
Once in a while if the Shack has a lot of guests or hosting a conference that wants dinner. Cabins have fridge stove dishes and everything else u need BESIDES food. That's when u bring fishing license & ur gear to catch ur dinner! But after a HUGE breakfast and dessert later. Who needs supper. We bring snacks & cooler.
There is a nice trail that goes around the entire property
For guests staying there, yes they serve ice cream every night.
Darren, you either have to book on their website or call. They have extremely friendly staff! The room you are wanting would be located in the building called Livery West. My husband and I were just there last month and it was a beautiful room with the amenities you are looking for!
Last time I was there it was scrambled eggs sausage patties and links pancakes waffles fruit and syrups hash browns or hash brown casserole various cereals yogurts. I remember a very complete breakfast bar.
Yeah, their site doest show the rates for any room or time of year- why dont they have something to show the rates, maybe i will book more days or a better room. What is wrong with these business people- guess i Wont be staying there! I will spend my money somewhere else!
No clue 🤔😕! I wouldn't mind a copy of it myself! My favorite things in the museum is all the cool Dr. Pepper signs 😛🤓😁
Yes, but you need to get on their calendar before they're booked.
No
No, they don't. Nice place to visit....
They are SO busy with walk ins that sometimes they take the phone off the hook. Like anyplace else they are struggling for help. They ARE open....just keep trying!!!
I have no idea, but if regular dinner here supplied by gordon foods tastes like it does then I would not stay for Thanksgiving
Included. All free.
They probably dont have power today. Keep trying
I believe it comes with the room...or it's $10.99
One needs to call them directly for reservations. They don't do much, if any, online.
