Just called to try to get a better understanding of how my child support payments are being processed. As of January, I was 100% caught up on child support. I’m employed, getting paid weekly, and somehow I got a hit on my credit report saying I’m $49 behind. I don’t understand how since everything gets pulled out weekly through my employer. I was told that whatever the balance is on the 4th Saturday of each month is what gets reported. I still didn’t understand, and was quickly cut off and sent to a voicemail. I thought maybe I wasn’t asking my question correctly, so I tried calling back again and was told “I see you just tried to talk to us and you were sent to a voicemail. They have 2 business days to respond, so you’ll need to wait for them.” I don’t understand why they can’t explain this to me. I don’t understand why I would fall behind if there’s not 5 pay periods. I was put on hold, and when the person came back on, I was told I’d just have to wait, and then she hung up. So now I still don’t have the voicemail message. I called a third time asking to be transferred because the second person hung up on me. The girl that answered this time says “I’m sitting right next to the person you just spoke to, so I know she transferred you” Why does this have to be so difficult? I’m actively trying to pay my support on time, and I’m treated like garbage for trying to understand how it all works. I think if my wages are being garnished for support, and I’m still sent to collections, I have a right to know why. I’m not sure why the call center even exists if they can’t properly explain it.

Some real geniuses you have employed here, that have zero inclination on how to define counter productivity. The term employed is used loosely. This agency has placed a warrant for arrest due to back child support owed. When informed verbally and in writing, this waste of space agency decides to leave it, knowing it’s barring an (Florida) insurance license and a 100k a year position that could pay back owed child support. Great allocation of resources Nebraska, this will have the dollars rolling in! Their logic (no bs she said this) get a $10 an hr job at McDonald’s and pay something. When I informed her my child care exceeded $10 an hour her condescending, pompous, a$$ had zero response! Now the whole world can see how effective your tactics are, great job Nebraska! 👍🏼😂 “WE WANT THE MONEY, BUT YOU CANT WORK”
